Card Deck Editor

Editing, Previewing, and Exporting a Card Deck

This page explains how to connect a saved template to the deck, review card previews, edit deck-side settings, and open the PDF export dialogs.

Select a template for the deck side

Use the Deck Side Template Picker to choose which saved template is used for the active side of the current deck. If the deck has both front and back content, switch sides and choose the appropriate template for each side.

If the current template needs to be changed, use the replace or quick edit flow from the template-related dialogs in the workspace.

Use the Template Field Link panel

Open the Template Field Link panel to connect deck columns to the fields defined inside the selected template. Each link maps one template field to one column from the spreadsheet.

  1. Select the active template side.
  2. Open the Template Field Link panel.
  3. Choose a deck column for each listed field.
  4. Check the preview after each mapping change.

When a field is not linked, the preview for that field stays empty or does not reflect deck data.

Review the preview panels

The Card Preview Grid renders cards from the current row data and the selected template. Select different rows in the spreadsheet to inspect different cards in the preview area.

Use the Card Data Floating Panel when you need to inspect the currently selected card data in a separate panel while keeping the preview visible.

Use the Preview Adjustment panel

Open the Preview Adjustment panel to change per-card preview adjustment values for the active template side. This panel is used for card-level adjustment data that belongs to the deck rather than to the saved template itself.

After editing an adjustment value, review the preview again to confirm the change was applied to the current card.

Open the export dialogs

Use the Export menu in the workspace header area to open the available PDF export flows. The workspace includes a Standard PDF export dialog and a Professional PDF export dialog.

  • Open the Standard dialog when you want the standard export flow.
  • Open the Professional dialog when you want the professional export flow.
  • Complete the dialog fields and start the export from that dialog.

Export uses the current deck data, current template selection, and the active field links stored in the workspace.
