Guide structure
Deckvio has two main editing areas. The Card Deck Editor is used to manage deck rows, columns, template links, preview settings, and export dialogs. The Template Editor is used to manage saved templates, card sides, card size, layers, canvas elements, and inline formatting definitions.
The pages below are divided by editor and by task. Open the page that matches the action you want to perform in the app instead of reading the whole guide from top to bottom.
Card Deck Editor pages
- Card Deck Editor: Getting Started explains how to open a deck, save the first draft, edit columns and rows, and import CSV or Excel files.
- Card Deck Editor: Editing and Export explains how to use the Template Field Link panel, preview area, adjustment controls, template replacement dialogs, and PDF export dialogs.
Template Editor pages
- Template Editor: Foundations explains how to create a template, switch between Front and Back, open Card Size settings, add elements, and manage the layer drawer.
- Template Editor: Production Workflow explains how to save templates, load saved templates, define inline token and text formatting entries, and finish a template so it can be used in the Card Deck Editor.
How the two editors connect in the app
The Template Editor is where you save the visual template. The Card Deck Editor is where you select that template for a deck side and connect deck columns to template fields. After the links are set, the Card Deck Editor preview uses the saved template together with the selected row data.
If you change a saved template later, reopen the Card Deck Editor and verify the deck-side template selection, field links, and preview output again.
